Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Self-Portrait by Andy Warhol. It changed hands for a price of USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
