Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shoes by Andy Warhol was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 104,114.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shoes von Andy Warhol wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 104.114,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
