Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Street of the Gamblers (by Day), Chinatown, San Francisco by Arnold Genthe for USD 4,445.00 (€ 4,206.09). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnold Genthe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Mixed Crowd, Old Chinatown, San Fransisco, 1895-1906, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Street of the Gamblers (by Day), Chinatown, San Francisco von Arnold Genthe für USD 4.445,00 (€ 4.206,09) erwerben.
