This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Rodin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Éternel Printemps in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 20,410,000.00 (€ 18,329,591.38).
