Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nicki, Nicki, Nicki by Brendan Lynch was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in February 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,212.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Lynch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 16,875.00 (€ 23,268.12).

Die Arbeit Nicki, Nicki, Nicki von Brendan Lynch wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.212,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Lynch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 16.875,00 (€ 23.268,12) versteigert wurde.
