Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Methamphetamine by Damien Hirst. The »bidding war« ended at USD 69,300.00 (€ 62,771.74), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Methamphetamine von Damien Hirst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 62.771,74) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
