Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Big Celia Print #2 by David Hockney was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 22,826.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
