Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dog Wall: one plate by David Hockney was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 20,160.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dog Wall: one plate von David Hockney wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 20.160,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
