Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Lithograph of Water Made of Lines and a Green Wash by David Hockney. It changed hands for a price of USD 138,600.00 (€ 125,543.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
