Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Pears, a Lemon, and an Egg from the suite Fruit and Flowers III by Donald Sultan was auctioned at Bonhams in January this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 765.00 (€ 704.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battery May 5, 1986 in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).

Die Arbeit Two Pears, a Lemon, and an Egg from the suite Fruit and Flowers III von Donald Sultan kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 704,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Sultan erzielen.
