Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clock by Ed Ruscha was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,260.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Clock von Ed Ruscha wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.260,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
