This artwork by Edvard Munch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2021. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Women in the Hospital (W. 71) sold for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,597.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edvard Munch erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Women in the Hospital (W. 71) für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.597,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edvard Munch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Scream im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.922.500,00 (€ 96.993.286,96).
