Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nine Squares by Ellsworth Kelly was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,695.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellsworth Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Curve VII in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,809,000.00 (€ 8,901,896.72).
