Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Junger Priester (Young Priest) by Emil Nolde for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,375.40). This price was achieved in the auction A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf at Christies and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Nolde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herbstmeer XVI in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,344,500.00 (€ 6,305,915.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Junger Priester (Young Priest) von Emil Nolde für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.375,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Nolde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herbstmeer XVI im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.344.500,00 (€ 6.305.915,69).
