Description
ERICH HECKEL (1883-1970) Weidende Pferde (Dangaster Weide) lithograph, 1909, on stiff cream wove paper, signed in pencil, inscribed Lithographie and titled Dangaster Weide , extremely rare, the sheet apparently applied with a watery, pale brown wash after the printing Image 275 x 370 mm. Sheet 357 x 534 mm.
Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Weidende Pferde (Dangaster Weide) by Erich Heckel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 5,670.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erich Heckel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blühende Apfelbäume in February 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,508,750.00 (€ 1,704,340.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Weidende Pferde (Dangaster Weide) von Erich Heckel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 5.670,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erich Heckel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blühende Apfelbäume im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.508.750,00 (€ 1.704.340,14).
