Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online, which included the work Iii Casa Ocho by Fernando de Szyszlo. The price achieved of USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,073.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando de Szyszlo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado), which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
