Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poetry for the Next Society by Francesco Clemente was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in January this year. The price achieved of USD 255.00 (€ 234.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).

Die Arbeit Poetry for the Next Society von Francesco Clemente wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 255,00 (€ 234,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Clemente erzielen.
