Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River of Ponds IV, Newfoundland Series by Frank Stella was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,680.00 (€ 7,032.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Point Of Pines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit River of Ponds IV, Newfoundland Series von Frank Stella wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.680,00 (€ 7.032,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Point Of Pines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.082.500,00 (€ 25.188.357,70).
