Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Fred Sandback was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 69,300.00 (€ 56,663.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fred Sandback have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 495,724.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fred Sandback kam im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 56.663,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Sandback auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 545.000,00 (€ 495.724,94).
