Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Derrière le mirroir, 1956 by Georges Braque for EUR 64.00. This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Bonhams in Brussels and was even below the estimate range of EUR 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Derrière le mirroir, 1956 von Georges Braque für EUR 64,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Brüssel erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
