The work P1959-117 by Hans Hartung was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,011.93), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Hartung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work T1956-13 in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 2,691,250.00.

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Hartung erzielen.
