Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Lisa on Silk, NY by Horst P. Horst for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,935.62). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horst P. Horst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lisa on Silk, NY von Horst P. Horst für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.935,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horst P. Horst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55).
