Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples, which included the work Femme cubiste by Jacques Villon. The price achieved of USD 637.50 (€ 563.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Villon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Acrobate in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 920,520.88).
