Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Historia (W. 150) by Jim Dine was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in February this year. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 950.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Dine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fence (Sydney Close) in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 436,481.36).
