Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joan Miró could be acquired at Christies in London in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Femme changed hands for GBP 120,000.00 (€ 139,405.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
