Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work One plate from: Miró - L'Oiseau Solaire, L'Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles (D. 448; cf. Cramer books 117) by Joan Miró was sold in the Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints auction at Christies in London in September 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,674.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
