Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Desirable Social Space by Julião Sarmento was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2014. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 18,750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julião Sarmento - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emma 4, which sold at auction in February 2004 for GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Desirable Social Space von Julião Sarmento kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 18.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emma 4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04) versteigert wurde.
