Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ajusco 2 a.m. by Leonora Carrington was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2018. The price achieved of EUR 81,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonora Carrington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden of Paracelsus in May last year with an auction result of USD 3,256,500.00 (€ 3,034,665.92).

Die Arbeit Ajusco 2 a.m. von Leonora Carrington kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 81.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonora Carrington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden of Paracelsus im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.256.500,00 (€ 3.034.665,92).
