Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Dream House Wall II by Louise Nevelson. It changed hands for a price of USD 378,000.00 (€ 326,509.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Nevelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).
