Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Doble imagen by Manolo Valdés was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 252,000.00 (€ 217,672.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manolo Valdés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Infanta Margarita, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Doble imagen von Manolo Valdés kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 252.000,00 (€ 217.672,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Infanta Margarita beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24) versteigert wurde.
