In September 2012 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples Including an Important Collection by Henry Moore, which included the work Four plates from: Jean de la Fontaine, Fables (cf. Cramer book 22) by Marc Chagall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,450.76), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
