Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Glide by Mary Heilmann for USD 126,000.00 (€ 103,025.35). This price was achieved in the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mary Heilmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Glide von Mary Heilmann für USD 126.000,00 (€ 103.025,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
