PIERRE BONNARD (1867-1947) Coin de rue, vue d’en haut, from Quelque Aspects de la vie de Paris lithograph in colors, on fine wove paper, 1896-1897, initialed in pencil, numbered 'no. 7' (from the edition of 100), printed by Auguste Clot, published by Ambroise Vollard, 1899, with full margins, in very good condition, framed Image: 14 1 ⁄ 2 x 8 1 ⁄ 4 in. (368 x 210 mm.) Sheet: 21 x 16 in. (533 x 406 mm.)
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coin de rue, vue d’en haut, from Quelque Aspects de la vie de Paris by Pierre Bonnard was sold in the A Graphic Century including French Impressions: Prints from Ambroise Vollard and Henri M. Petiet auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,272.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).

Petiet bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 4.272,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
