A top price for Rachel Whiteread
In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Untitled (Colours) by Rachel Whiteread. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 445,250.00 (€ 565,695.14), 48% above the upper estimate. With this result, Untitled (Colours) is even the most expensive work of art by Rachel Whiteread that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Colours) von Rachel Whiteread zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 445.250,00 (€ 565.695,14) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Untitled (Colours) sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rachel Whiteread, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
