The work D-Train by Richard Estes was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in New York in April 2021. It achieved a price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 49,875.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Estes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gifts of Nature in March this year with an auction result of USD 1,284,000.00 (€ 1,181,015.45).

Die Arbeit D-Train von Richard Estes wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 49.875,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Estes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gifts of Nature im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.284.000,00 (€ 1.181.015,45).
