Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eternal Hexagon, from X + X (Ten Works by Ten Painters) by Robert Indiana was sold in the A Graphic Century including French Impressions: Prints from Ambroise Vollard and Henri M. Petiet auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 882.00 (€ 854.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Indiana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,495,000.00 (€ 3,086,637.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eternal Hexagon, from X + X (Ten Works by Ten Painters) von Robert Indiana wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion A Graphic Century including French Impressions: Prints from Ambroise Vollard and Henri M. Petiet bei Christies in New York versteigert.
