In April 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Jules, Gretchen, Mark (State Ii), From Men In The Cities by Robert Longo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,781.38), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Longo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Leo) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,212,657.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jules, Gretchen, Mark (State Ii), From Men In The Cities von Robert Longo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.781,38) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Longo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Leo) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.212.657,84).
