Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Liliane by Sean Scully was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 29,673.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Scully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,046,500.00 (€ 1,907,091.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Liliane von Sean Scully kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 29.673,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Scully erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.046.500,00 (€ 1.907.091,60).
