Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Peinture by Tadeusz Kantor was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2009. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 33,750.00 (€ 25,450.57). Admittedly, works by Tadeusz Kantor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 247,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peinture von Tadeusz Kantor kam im März 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 33.750,00 (€ 25.450,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadeusz Kantor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 247.500,00.
