Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Investigation by Thomas Hart Benton was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. The price achieved of USD 960.00 (€ 879.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hart Benton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nashaquitsa in November last year with an auction result of USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Investigation von Thomas Hart Benton wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 960,00 (€ 879,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hart Benton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nashaquitsa im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.580.000,00 (€ 5.405.405,41).
