Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Woodpile by Thomas Hart Benton was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,406.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hart Benton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nashaquitsa in November last year with an auction result of USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).
