Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trust Yourself by Tracey Emin was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 35,000.00 – 4,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 54,014.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Emin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Bed in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,546,500.00 (€ 3,211,937.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Trust Yourself von Tracey Emin wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 4.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 45.000,00 (€ 54.014,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Emin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Bed im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.546.500,00 (€ 3.211.937,15).
