Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Victor Vasarely achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work A Group of Zebra Prints 3 sold for USD 3,520.00 (€ 3,223.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
