In June this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Ionau; Fenyes; Pontos 3 by Victor Vasarely. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,930.40), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ionau; Fenyes; Pontos 3 von Victor Vasarely zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.930,40) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
