Auction result well in line with expectations
The work After Richard Serra, Prop, 1968, Installed at the Whitney Museum in "Contemporary American Sculpture: Selection 2," April 4-May 5, 1969 (Pictures of Dust) by Vik Muniz was auctioned at Christies in New York in December last year. The price achieved of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,833.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vik Muniz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sugar Children: Valentina, The Fastest; Jacynthe Loves Orange Juice; Big James Sweats Buckets; Lil' Calist Can'T Swim; Valicia Bathes In Sunday Clothes; Ten Ten'S Weed Necklace in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit After Richard Serra, Prop, 1968, Installed at the Whitney Museum in "Contemporary American Sculpture: Selection 2," April 4-May 5, 1969 (Pictures of Dust) von Vik Muniz kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion.
