The work Confection Rows by Wayne Thiebaud was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. It achieved a price of USD 1,692,500.00 (€ 1,422,507.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 69%. Admittedly, works by Wayne Thiebaud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Encased Cakes in July last year with an auction result of HKD 79,200,000.00 (€ 9,882,532.84).

Die Arbeit Confection Rows von Wayne Thiebaud kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.692.500,00 (€ 1.422.507,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 69%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wayne Thiebaud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Encased Cakes im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 79.200.000,00 (€ 9.882.532,84).
