Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled II (Alpha Gamma) by A. R. Penck was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 122,980.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by A. R. Penck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Welt Des Adlers I (World Of The Eagle I) in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 531,000.00 (€ 615,430.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled II (Alpha Gamma) von A. R. Penck wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 122.980,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. R. Penck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Welt Des Adlers I (World Of The Eagle I) im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 531.000,00 (€ 615.430,20).
