Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Queen Beatrix, from Reigning Queens (Royal Edition) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,411.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.411,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
