This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2013. In the Photographs auction, the work Self-Portrait, 1986 sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,074.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Self-Portrait, 1986 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.074,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
