Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Untitled (Fragment 2) by Bridget Riley. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,239.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bridget Riley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Diagonal Curve) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,207,615.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Fragment 2) von Bridget Riley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 34.239,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bridget Riley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Diagonal Curve) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.207.615,75).
